Conference Prizes
Under the sponsorship of Taylors & Francis, CMBBE2018 will award prizes for the best papers, best student presentation and best poster. These prizes are an important acknowledgement of the delegates’ investment in their participation in CMBBE2018. All awards include a financial reward and the Taylors & Francis certificate that honors the award. Only the authors that submitted the full paper are entitled to the CMBBE2018 Best Conference Paper Prize and CMBBE2018 Best Conference Paper Prize on Image and Visualization.
The award winners for the best papers and best poster will be announced during the conference dinner. The best student presentation award will be announced at the closing ceremony.
CMBBE2018 Best Conference Paper Prize (EUR 700)
The Best Conference Paper Prize will be awarded to the best paper reporting a research work on Computational Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering.
CMBBE2018 Best Conference Paper Prize on Image and Visualization (EUR 700)
The Best Conference Paper Prize on Image and Visualization will reward the best paper involving Image and Visualization developments applied to Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering.
CMBBE2018 Best Student Presentation Prize (EUR 350)
The Best Student Presentation Prize is awarded to the best presentation performed by a student during CMBBE2018.
CMBBE2018 Best Poster Prize (EUR 250)
The Best Poster Prize will be awarded to the best work presented by poster.
Abstract Submission
Abstracts should be submitted online (text only)on a general topic or special session and should not exceed 350 words.
You should select a topic or a special session upon the submission of your abstract. For more information about Special Sessions, please see the Programme section.
The deadline for abstract submission is 15th November, 2017.

If you are not registered in the Easychair submission system, you will need to register and create your account. Please follow the system instructions.
No more than one oral presentation can be delivered per each registered author.
A printed Book-of-Abstracts, with ISBN number, will be edited, in addition to the usual digital version of the conference proceedings with the abstracts and full papers.
Paper Submission
Full papers (max. 12 pages) corresponding to accepted abstracts will be due by February 15, 2018.
Papers received after this deadline will not be included in the conference proceedings.
Authors should upload the full paper in PDF format using the online submission system.

The full paper is not mandatory but authors are strongly encouraged to send it.
Full papers will be included in the digital version of the conference proceedings.
Selected papers will be invited, to be part of a volume of the book series:
‘ Lecture Notes in Computational Vision and Biomechanics’,
Eds J. Tavares and R.N. Jorge, Springer, dedicated to CMBBE2018.
The invited papers will be subject to a peer review process.
